Funding for Energy Efficient Measures can be a complicated process with government schemes coming and going, eligibility being difficult to understand and negative stories in the press reducing public confidence in the initiatives. There are numerous schemes and grants currently available, you can learn more from Ofgem here.
We work across numerous schemes however the most popular option is the Energy Company Obligation (ECO). Under ECO, medium and larger energy suppliers are obligated to fund the installation of energy efficiency measures in British households. The obligated energy suppliers work with installers to introduce certain efficiency measures into your home, such as loft or wall insulation, or heating measures. All projects under ECO must be compliant with PAS2035 meaning you will need to appoint a retrofit coordinator, have a retrofit assessment and use an installer with a PAS2030:2019 accreditation (or MCS accreditation for Microgeneration measures such as Air Source Heat Pumps).
You are eligible for ECO if you receive at least one of the following benefits and satisfy the relevant income requirements, where applicable:
Alternatively, if you are living in social housing with an EPC rating of E, F or G you might also be eligible for the scheme.
We aim to simplify the whole process for our clients by taking on all parts of the project, leaving you to benefit from the new measures installed in your home. If you would like to learn more then get in touch today to have a discussion.
We are based in the South of England but travel the length and breadth of the country to meet the needs of our clients.
